Travel can be expensive and intimidating. However, there are so many wonderful opportunities and ways to see your own city, state, country, and even other parts of the world. There are volunteer events, job opportunities, study abroad programs, and so much more! And like I said in the first journal, never be afraid to ask questions. The Gilman Scholarship was a significant source of funding for my study abroad, and I discovered the scholarship through a conversation with one of my advisors.
