Czech is the main language. I also hear English pretty often in Prague, especially in restaurants, tourist areas and around other students, but Czech is still what I see and hear most in everyday life.
The Czech Republic uses the Czech koruna, abbreviated CZK or Kč. Right now, 100 Kč is about $4.62 USD.
The cheapest bottle of water I’ve found at a grocery store was 6.90 Kč, which is only around 32 cents in U.S. dollars! However, water can cost much more at restaurants or in tourist areas.
LAMI’s Lanzhou beef hand-pulled noodles! The noodles are made by hand, and the portion was huge. They were so delicious and I ended up sharing some with my friends.
I listened to a lot of alternative and soft pop while studying, and reggaeton and other Latin genres while cooking, cleaning or walking around Prague for my Art & Architecture class. Sometimes listening to music from home while exploring a completely different city feels kind of funny.
