Traveler Bio

Coucou à tous (hello everyone)! My name is Kutina Cabrera. I am 22 years old, and I am from Lenexa, Kansas. I am the oldest daughter of a mom from a small rural Kansas town and a dad who immigrated from Guatemala. Additionally, both of my step-parents are from Brazil. This family dynamic sparked a curiosity in me for cultural exchange. I also recently graduated from Kansas State University, where I studied French and Psychology. I am excited to combine my various interests during my Fulbright journey!

My journey takes place in the south of France in the charming city of Aix-en-Provence. Here, there is a rich mix of new and old culture, with scenes for shopping, food, and entertainment—all located within the historic city center. This gives me plenty of opportunities to explore on the days that I am not attending classes at Aix-Marseille University. There, I will be studying for two years to become a work psychologist, learning about how we can improve the lives of workers worldwide. I am personally interested in how we can increase the happiness, health, and safety of all people at work.

I have met plenty of new people already, from roommates to classmates, to amazing teachers. I look forward to getting to know your classroom and sharing my experiences!
