In North Macedonia, students attend high school for four years (year one, year two, year three and year four). The school where I teach is called a vocational school. This means that students choose a subject to concentrate on when they enter high school. They can choose to concentrate on chemistry, languages, business, digital marketing, economics, law and more. Concentrating in a subject in high school prepares them to study at a European university or begin their career right after high school graduation. Students in North Macedonia are very hardworking and determined to reach their career goals. It has been a pleasure to teach and get to know them! To give you a better look into the lives of students in North Macedonia, I interviewed a high school student named Mirce.
Mirce explained that he loves making breakfast for himself and his family. Breakfast is his favorite meal of the day! Mirce likes to make different types of breakfast meals such as Ajvar spread on toast and Kajmak (a buttery spread). His favorite breakfast is two scrambled eggs with bell peppers from his family's garden.
