Traveler Bio

Bula vinaka (Hello)! My name is Lauren Conrow, and I am a current Peace Corps Volunteer stationed in a rural Fijian village. I am 23 years old and thrilled to have this opportunity to explore a culture so different from my own. I am originally from Ross, California, and went to Ross School, which is why it's cool to be partnering with your Hidden Valley class since it's close to where I grew up! I went to Northeastern University for my undergraduate degree, where I studied business. Now, as a Community Economic Development Facilitator with the Peace Corps, it has been gratifying to apply my business knowledge to help empower local communities to design and manage projects, start their own small businesses, and enhance their personal money management skills. As a traditional, highly communal farming community of 120 people, life in Matailobau Village is very different than life in America -- I'm excited to tell you more throughout our journey together!

Peace Corps Volunteers like me live and work side by side with community members around the world, collaborating on locally prioritized projects, building relationships, exchanging cultures and knowledge, and helping transform lives for generations. Learn more by clicking here.
