As it gets older, its beak turns from a pale pink to bright orange! It typically eats animals that have been run over on the road, called carcasses. In this video, at 0:23 seconds you can hear the bird's chirp: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fg8EPBINqcE.
My coolest experience in nature this week was going to Mount Campanario (Campanario means "bell tower" in English). I had to ride a chairlift, which is typically used to go up a ski hill. At the top, there was a coffee shop and some trails to walk. National Geographic has called the top of Mount Campanario one of the most impressive views in the world! It has a 360° view of Lake Nahuel Huapi (nah-well wah-pee), the city of San Carlos de Bariloche, the nearby islands and other hills. It is also open all year round!
This week I got to see the Cascada de los Duendes (Waterfall of the Gnomes) which is in the national park of Lake Nahuel Huapi. It is a great spot to drink mate (a very popular type of tea) and have a picnic, but we just walked the trail and took some photos!
