Some programs are offering cheaper housing in certain parts of Madrid, and there have been many protests to push for more affordable housing. In my time here so far, I've witnessed 5 major protests about lowering rent. People are asking the government to create stronger rules and offer more support to make sure everyone can afford a home. However, the problem is still big, and many believe that more needs to be done to make housing available for everyone.
