Traveler Bio

Hey, there! I'm Lenora, and I love to explore! In fact, when I was young, I insisted that my family call any kind of walk or hike an “adventure.” When I was a child, I would trace my curious hands across the globe in the library, feeling the ridges and bumps underneath my fingers, imagining what it's like to grow up on the other side of the world.

I was born and raised in the Bay Area of California. After graduating from high school, I received a scholarship and went to attend the University of Puget Sound in Washington State. I studied two subjects: English, with a focus on creative writing, and Spanish language, literature and culture. I also minored in music, with a focus on vocal performance. In 2020, I took six online classes with professors in Argentina after I returned home from my study abroad program in Buenos Aires at the start of the pandemic. I learned so much about Argentine history, language and culture. I dreamt of coming back someday, so I applied to join the Fulbright U.S. Student Program in Argentina.

In 2021, I graduated from college and spent the following academic year teaching in Spain. I had a blast, and the possibility of returning to Argentina stayed on my horizon. I am deeply honored to receive acceptance as a Fulbright recipient and so excited to return to Argentina to teach English as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) this spring! Exploring new places and meeting people from around the world is beautiful. Learning languages is a portal to another world, and I am so excited to share my journey to Argentina with you!
