Hello! I'm Emily Ruiz, I'm a 21-year old student in the United Kingdom. I was born in Dallas, Texas, however, I grew up in a small town in central Mexico with my mom, grandma, and aunt. Living in rural Mexico made me realize that I wanted to explore the world one day. This is why I moved to the U.S. to go to school and improve my English. Currently, I live with my family in southwest Missouri. I think that being constantly surrounded by rural environments is what made me want to travel the world.
My first opportunity to study abroad was last December when I visited the Czech Republic and Austria with my class. This was an amazing opportunity that encouraged me to travel and study abroad. As an education major, I'm excited to see how different college is in the U.K. from the U.S. and how it will improve my teaching skills. I hope you will join me on this journey...let's go!
