This week, the weather was a mix of many seasons... it rained, it snowed and it was sunny! On the warmest day, the temperature reached 55° Fahrenheit, and on the coldest day, it was about 30° Fahrenheit. 봄이 오고있어요 (bom-i o-go-isseoyo)! Spring is coming!
Because I live in a city, I don’t see many animals. In Korea, however, there are stray cats almost everywhere, and I cross paths with many of them on my walk home from school. There are even cats that live outside of my local convenience store.
Living in 청추 (Cheongju), the largest city in my province, I don’t expect to encounter much of the natural world. A few days ago, however, I decided to go to a popular café with a friend. As we were walking, we noticed that we were gradually rising above the rest of the city. Without realizing it, we had hiked up 우암산 (Uamsan), a mountain in the center of 청추 (Cheongju)!
