Hello! My name is Margaret, and I am 21 years old. I am from Hood River, Oregon, which is known for growing a lot of apples, pears and berries. I currently attend Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Michigan, where I'm majoring in computer science. This is my last year of college. Outside of school, I love to go on hikes and spend time outside, play soccer and frisbee, and make art. I enjoy my life in Kalamazoo, but I decided to travel abroad so I can learn about other places, too.
I chose to study abroad in Thailand because I wanted to go somewhere very different from the United States. For most of my time, I will be in a big city called Chiang Mai. While I’m in Thailand, I’ll get to learn how to speak the Thai language, see a lot of exciting waterfalls, and visit elephants! I can’t wait to tell you all about it!
