Howdy, everyone! My name's Matthew, and I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, where I spent my childhood through college years. I've always been a family-oriented guy. Whether it was sharing meals or going on vacations, I made sure to soak up every moment with those I love. But over time, I realized that family isn’t just the people who live under the same roof. Family can be found anywhere, especially where care and love are needed the most. That’s what led me to the local hospital, where I discovered my passion for helping others and found a second family among the volunteers, nurses, and doctors.
Since then, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to join the Fulbright Program, teaching English—a subject I once struggled with as a kid—in another place that feels like home: Vietnam. I can't wait to bring these stories into the classroom—and trust me, there are some wild ones!
