Journal Entry: It is hard to believe that the time has come to say ¡adios, hasta luego! I have been on many adventures here in Mexico, and it has been a treat to take you along with me. Let's do a little recap of what we have experienced together:
- Big cities, small towns: You've seen what life is like in Mexico City, one of the biggest cities in the world! You have also gone along with me on travels to smaller towns like Coalcomán, Michoacán, where I spent Christmas. Life is so different in small towns than in the big city. Remember seeing me ride a horse, milk a cow, make tortillas, and hug baby goats?
- Delicious foods: You've learned about lots of yummy Mexican foods, from mole and tamales to enciladas and tacos al pastor. You've also seen how important the tortilla is to the diet here - it's the Mexican daily bread. I am definitely going to miss Mexican food when I go home to Oregon! Thankfully, there are some taquerias that make tasty tacos in my city back home.
