Traveler Bio

Hola todos! Hello! My name is Michel, and I am so happy to share my journey with you all. I remember when I was a young child, my family didn't have the money to travel to other countries or even other U.S. states. By watching videos and reading about peoples' adventures, I discovered the huge world that exists out there and the many things I had left to explore.

I am 22 years old, born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Although it's my first time living in South Korea, it is not my first time in Asia. After high school, I pursued a year-long program in China before starting college. My time in China was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The good memories I have from that experience sparked my desire to return to Asia. After a three year pause, I finally got back, this time to Japan as a summer intern. Japan was amazing, and some of the people I met there have become very good friends. Now I am in South Korea, ready for a new adventure in a new country!

After returning from South Korea, I will complete my last semester in college and graduate in May of 2024 as the first in my family to go to college. I will graduate with a degree in quantitative economics, statistics, and data science. I hope to one day to become a U.S. diplomat and represent our great nation all over the world. Until then, I hope you'll join me on my South Korean journey! Let's go!
