こんにちは (Konichiwa)!
My name is Malissa Bouakham, but you can call me Mimi! I am 21 years old and from Elizabethtown, Kentucky. In America, I am a comparative politics in Asia international studies major at the University of Kentucky. My interest in political science and the Fund for Education Abroad scholarship have given me the opportunity and motivation to further my studies internationally! I am studying political science and economics at Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan for my 2022-2023 school year. But everyone knows I am also there to experience every inch of Japan I can get to. Follow along as I show you all my exciting endeavors for the spring 2023 semester!
I am a Fund for Education Abroad scholarship recipient. The mission of the Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) is to provide scholarships and ongoing support to students who are underrepresented among the U.S. study-abroad population. FEA aims to support students of color, first-generation college, and community college students with awards amounts of up to $10,000 for an academic year abroad.
