Hello, everyone! It has been a wonderful experience sharing my semester in Australia with all of you. Writing these articles has been one of the most unexpectedly wonderful parts of my time abroad. At first, I thought of it as just documenting what I was doing and what life in Sydney looked like day to day. But over time, it became something more than that. It forced me to slow down and actually reflect on things I probably would have overlooked otherwise. Instead of just moving through my routine, I started noticing how the city works, how I was adjusting and how my perspective on everyday experiences was shifting without me always realizing it.
One of my favorite parts of this experience was the virtual meetings we shared together throughout the exchange. It honestly meant a lot to be able to connect with you, as you are sitting in the same classroom in whidh I was once sitting! Those conversations felt grounding in a way I didn’t expect. It was exciting to share what life is like here, but even more than that, it felt meaningful to encourage you to travel, too. There are so many opportunities within reach, even if they don’t always feel obvious at first!
