My Autobiography

This was one of the hard parts about growing up—learning to love myself and my own interests and not caring about others' opinions of me as much.

At the end of high school, I wanted a fresh start. So, I moved to Tacoma, Washington for college. Moving farther away from home definitely helped me get a new perspective on what was important to me and who I was. I started to accept and love the things about myself that made me different from other people. I regained my love for reading, fell in love with vintage clothes, and loved all of my classes and professors so much. I also became really close with my aunt Julie and started to think my parents were “cool” again. In Tacoma, it rains a lot, so nature is very lush and constantly growing. It turns out Tacoma was the perfect place for me to grow, too.

After college, it was time for more adventure. I moved to South Korea and began my first year as an English teacher. I could absolutely write a whole Journal about this experience, but I’ll leave it at the fact that South Korea just reinforced everything I loved about traveling. I got to constantly try new things, meet new people from my home and host country, and have a lot of fun while doing it. So now begins the next journey, where I hope to learn more about myself, more about teaching English, more about Kosovo, and more about all of you!
