As I sit down to write this farewell letter, I can hardly believe that our incredible journey together is coming to an end. What amazing adventures I’ve been able to share with you all. It has been an absolute joy getting to explore Buenos Aires, Barcelona and Cape Town, and getting to share snippets of my experiences with each of you! Let’s recap some of the highlights of the past few months.
Our journey began in Buenos Aires, Argentina, a city filled with tango rhythms and the aroma of delicious empanadas in the air. I'll never forget the colorful neighborhoods, like La Boca, where every street seemed to tell a story through its vibrant murals. The people of Buenos Aires were so friendly, and I found a second home in the heart of this passionate city with my host family. It was also here in Buenos Aires that we learned a bit more about the city’s water system and the challenges it faces to provide for all residents.
From there, we jetted off to Barcelona, Spain, a very important Mediterranean city. Here we learned more about the unique green infrastructure that the city has been constructing to promote healthier urban life, as well as saw what it’s like to attend an FC Barcelona soccer match!
