I discovered an English conversation club that meets twice a week. I remember how helpful native speakers were in Spanish conversation club in my hometown and that club was a blast. In all of these activities, I’ve met some of my best friends and they certainly keep me busy
While integrating into a new environment will always have its difficulties, Caleños (people from Cali) have made it as smooth as possible for me with their friendliness and warm invitations. Friends are constantly inviting me to activities because they want to offer me new experiences and introduce me to more of Cali. This has been an incredible learning experience. I’m so happy to call Cali my temporary home. And who knows? Maybe it’s also my future long-term home! Only time will tell.
