Hello! My name is Natalie Callahan, and I am from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. My favorite pastimes include things like listening to music, drawing, and visiting different art shows around the city. In college, I decided to continue living in Pittsburgh to study art. My two degrees are in Arts Management (a degree that focuses on the business and marketing of art) and International Studies. I also have a minor in Women's Leadership. After I graduated from college, I was fortunate enough to receive a Fulbright-Nehru research grant. The grant allowed me to move to India to conduct an arts research project. I am currently living in Varanasi, India, studying the weaving process and weaving culture local to the city. Though I will also be writing about what I learn, my main project will be a series of drawings depicting the weavers. I'm so excited to meet you and share more about my project and adventures with you!
