Traveler Bio

Hello new friends! My name is Natalie Pricer and I’m a 22-year-old from Madison, Wisconsin (the state with the best cheese traditions). I studied journalism and mass communications at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After graduating last spring, I decided to join the Peace Corps and they sent me to a rural farming village in Perú.

My job as a Youth Development Facilitator is to work with high school students, teaching them about life skills such as leadership, self-esteem, and assertive communication to guide them toward future employability or higher education. I also teach English classes to all ages during summer break!

When I’m not working, I spend my time walking through farm fields, playing the violin, doing yoga, and reading books. Every day I’m learning more and more about Peru’s rich culture – whether that be the flavorful food, colorful clothes, lively music and dance, or the history of the Incas – and I’m so thrilled to share it with you! I can’t wait to meet you all and hear all about your school year!

Peace Corps Volunteers like me live and work side by side with community members around the world, collaborating on locally prioritized projects, building relationships, exchanging cultures and knowledge, and helping transform lives for generations. Learn more by clicking here.
