When I moved in with Ana, I didn’t realize how quickly she’d make her place feel like home for me. Every morning, she’s already up before me, brewing a pot of coffee that smells so good. She always greets everyone, the doorman, the neighbor across the hall and even the mailmen, like old friends. Watching her go about her day has shown me a totally different rhythm of life here in Brazil that is slower, warmer and more connected.
Ana Leocadio.
Ana lives in Copacabana, just one block from the beach, close enough to feel the ocean breeze. Her apartment is colorful and full of personality, with a bold orange sofa that immediately catches your eye. It's also really comfortable! The space feels eclectic but homey, filled with art, books and little decorations she’s picked up over the years. The best part is her patio, a lush jardim overflowing with mature plants that make it feel like a tiny forest or park. It’s where she spends her mornings drinking coffee and reading, while her cat, Francisca, stretches out in the sun. Francisca loves the garden, especially when sun hits it.
