Traveler Bio

こんにちは!(Hello!) My name is Nathan Simmons II, going by "shimonzu" while in Japan. I am 20 years old, growing up all over Colorado. Being in the mountains, I have always loved exploring the outdoors and visiting new places. My family and I moved a lot when I was younger, so I have lived in quite a few places. I went to culinary school for 2 years, worked at a 5-star restaurant, and then shifted my focus to studying accounting to teach people how to use and manage their money. I have interned at the world's largest accounting firm, "Deloitte," and learned a lot about the global business space while working there.

Now, I am traveling to Japan to learn a whole new way of life, culture, language, and geographical landscape. If I want to be able to help and serve people, I believe it is important to know and understand different ways of life and backgrounds. I will be exploring Japanese business, food, outdoors, and overall daily life, using as little English as possible. Im excited to share my journey with you all and hope you can learn more about the world through my travels and experiences!
