Hej! My name is Nathan Lin, and I am 22 years old from St. Louis, Missouri. Growing up, I loved to swim, watch Cardinals baseball games, and spend time with my cat and dog! In college, I trekked 20 minutes east to study Biology at WashU. During these 4 years, I competed on the varsity swim team and conducted research at the medical school on bacteria! Following college, I received a U.S. Fulbright Research Grant to conduct research in Stockholm, Sweden for a year! While my work in college focused on bad bacteria that make us sick, my work in Sweden is focused on the gut microbiome (which is filled with millions of little organisms that help keep us healthy!) I am excited to share with you all of my adventures this year, from snowy winters to the Northern Lights!
