This week the weather was mostly beautiful! It has been raining more than usual in Italy this winter, so when the sun comes out, everyone rushes outside to enjoy it.
It rained on Valentine’s Day (February 14th), so I stayed inside and did laundry. But the next few days were sunny and bright!
I walked all around town and even took the bus to visit the famous Spanish Steps.
These steps are famous because artists, poets, and thinkers gathered there in the 1700s and 1800s to talk about ideas and news. Imagine sitting on steps that are hundreds of years old!
Every day I see lots of seagulls and pigeons flying around the city.
But the coolest animal place I often pass by is the Torre Argentina Cat Sanctuary.
It is home to over 100 stray cats! Volunteers feed them, give them water, and take care of them. It’s amazing to see so many cats relaxing among ancient Roman ruins.
