Back in the day, the royals of Prague brought a bunch of peacocks to the city, and they've lived here ever since.
The daffodils (a yellow or white flower that also grows in the U.S.) have started blooming this week. I saw a couple of them through the bus window, and it made me super happy. My whole life, I've had a bunch of daffodils in my backyard, so they reminded me a lot of home.
Prague has a really big zoo that does a lot of conservation (work to save endangered species). Recently, the zoo successfully flew some of its European buffalo to the habitat they came from and released them into the wild.
