Earlier this week I visited Rüdesheim am Rhine, a German town known for its exquisite winemaking. I took long nature hike to the top of the valley, where grapes for winemaking were grown. It was a beautiful blend of seeing vast fields of grape vines right next to a deep forest.
On other nature news, the reason I visited Rüdesheim am Rhine was that I was on route to Yerevan, Armenia for a big event. This was the "United Nations 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biodiversity" otherwise known as UN COP17. This was a global conference discussing how countries plan to protect and preserve their local ecology and biodiversity.
