It's fall in Berlin. We still have an occasional sunny day, but the weather is slowly getting colder and dryer. Strong winds blow through the streets. I noticed everyone started to put on winter wear like gloves, scarfs, beanies and big long coats.
This week I saw many city animals in Berlin. The most common is the nebelkrähe (Hooded Crow). These crows are large with a gray and black coat. They are a beloved bird in Berlin, known to be friendly and highly intelligent.
I also saw many tauben (pigeons). They like to flock under bridges and passageways, so you have to be careful when walking underneath them or else you might get a little present on your head!
I think my most interesting animal observation is the pet dogs. Many Berliners (people from Berlin) train their dogs to be trusted off leash. These dogs know how to navigate the city, waiting for stop lights and listening well to their owners.
