As our group was taking photos of the Mahatma Gandhi statue in Puducherry, a rainstorm suddenly came pouring down. Everybody, in a hurry, either left the area completely or stayed dry beneath the foundation of the statue. That's what we opted to do.
The rain on the six-hour bus ride back home was excruciating. The emergency exit right above our heads had several leaks. We were soaked and miserable when we got back home.
