The week before last, it was VERY hot and humid, with temperatures around 90 degrees Fahrenheit, which felt a lot hotter, given the humidity. This week, it has been between 55 and 70 degrees and mostly sunny. So I'm a happy camper!
As per usual, I saw many cows and sheep out by the rural elementary school. In the hotel courtyards, I also saw some pretty hummingbirds. On the flip-side, I also found a HUGE cockroach in my room this week. (Luckily, I opened the door and successfully shooed it out with a broom).
There are a lot of birds here, and sometimes all of the bird sounds make the city sound like a jungle! At one point I looked up into a tree and saw what looked like 100+ songbirds all sitting in the branches, tweeting and flying around.
There are fewer mosquitos now. I no longer have to put on bug spray before I go to bed!
