However, because of all the rain this week, the river is now rushing with water. I was very surprised that it would fill up so quickly. Some of the other teachers told me that the river got so high earlier this year that it destroyed part of the highway! I love seeing water running through the stream-bed, but I hope a serious flood doesn't happen again!
I am so excited that the leaves on the trees are starting to change colors! This is something that doesn't really happen in Florida. I've only experienced a "real autumn" on short vacations. This seems like something very insignificant to the people that live here, but I can't wait until all the leaves are different colors!
