The furthest I traveled was to Toledo, which normally would be a 2hr drive, but we took a high speed train called Renfe which takes only 30 mins. It is similar to one we have in Florida called Brightline, which you can take from Miami to Orlando, but way cheaper.
The furthest I have traveled in Europe has been to the beautiful island of Furteventura in the Canary Islands. These islands are off Morocco, Africa and are mostly desert-like, with many mountains and even a volcano! The trip on the plane took almost 3hrs.
As usual, I normally get around Madrid by metro which is a very efficient and easy way to get around.The rest of the time I usually walk to places in the city. For example, I normally walk 20 mins to school every day.
Other than Toledo, I loved vsiting the gardens of the Royal Palace of Madrid. Walking through it, I couldn't but help thinking that kings and princesses have walked through those same gardens and seen the same views I saw. I also got to walk through the gardens at night, which made the experience feel even more magical and special.
