What local food do I like to eat?

Wisconsin is known as "The Dairy State" as we have many farms which produce milk and cheese.  And though I usually hate to reinforce stereotypes (many people think that the only thing that people in Wisconsin do is eat cheese), I am going to talk about one of my favorite Wisconsin foods- cheese curds.  Cheese curds are just as they sound- small curds, or pieces, of cheese. Cheese curds can either be fresh or fried.  You can buy fresh cheese curds from farmer's markets in the summer, or from specialty grocery stores all year around. Friend cheese curds can be found at local fast food restuarants like Culver's.

How do I feel when I eat it?

When I eat cheese curds, I feel like it's summer. I only buy them when I go to farmers' markets, and farmers' markets are usually only held in the summer since it's too cold to hold them (or harvest crops) in the winter. My favorite farmer's market is in Madison, the capitol of Wisconsin, around the capitol square.

When I eat fried cheese curds, I feel gross. While they are delicious, they are also very greasy.
