When I was ten years old, I loved doodling in class. I would draw all of my favorite cartoon characters or even some cars. However, there was one thing that I could never draw, and that was Gundam. Gundam is a giant robot from Japanese anime. This huge robot just had way too many mechanical parts for me to draw. I always dreamed of seeing one in person.
This weekend, my dream came true! As you can see on the attached image, I saw a Unicorn Gundam in Odaiba this weekend. It's huge! It stands nearly 80 feet tall. I felt like I was ten again.
Odaiba is an artificial island in the Tokyo Bay, which means it was built by the Japanese peple, not by nature. It was built more than 160 years ago as a way to control which ships could enter Tokyo, but now it has become a place for entertainment. There are many arcades and shopping malls as well as a ferris wheel in Odaiba.
Last but not least, Odaiba gave me a little taste of home: It has a replica of the Statue of Liberty. That's right. The Statue of Liberty from New York. This place is awesome!
Talk to you guys next time!
