This week, I went to Jakarta with one of my students named Yaya. Yaya won a local Storytelling competition which led to her going to compete at a national competition in Jakarta. It was very fun!

Greetings from Indonesia! My name is Riley, and I am a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) living and working in Samarinda, Indonesia. I can't wait to share my experiences here with you!
This week, I went to Jakarta with one of my students named Yaya. Yaya won a local Storytelling competition which led to her going to compete at a national competition in Jakarta. It was very fun!
Today, I returned to Jakarta (Indonesia's capital) where we will have our final meeting as a program. Tomorrow night, we will fly home to the United States.
Ever since I arrived in Indonesia, the community has been my favorite part. I have really enjoyed learning about the community in Samarinda.
When there are sporting events at my Indonesian school, such as this soccer tournament, all of the SMA 10 students attend to show their support of their classmates!
