Books are such an important part of education. Since I am teaching English in Indonesia, having books available for my students is something that I feel is very important. It's something that I've worked on since arriving here ten months ago.
Within my school community, there is a need for books written in English. Students here get very excited about English literature, but they don't have access to many books.
In my school community, there are many students that are very excited about English. Most of the students watch American movies (with Bahasa Indonesia subtitles) and listen to American songs. I believe that it's also important for students to have access to English books because it helps with their learning. Unfortunately, English books are hard to find in my city, and when you are able to find them, they are fairly expensive. Therefore, very few students have access to English books.
