As my time writing for Reach the World comes to an end, I will miss hearing about your classroom adventures and sharing my journey with you! It is also almost the end of my time in the Netherlands. In about three weeks, I will be beginning my long journey home. If I was flying straight back to the United States, it would take me about 7 hours on a plane. However, I am going to first fly to the country of Singapore in Southeast Asia, then to the country of Japan in East Asia, and finally from Japan back to Baltimore. The flight from Japan to Baltimore will take around 15 hours! I am not looking forward to the plane ride, but I am looking forward very much to seeing my friends in Singapore that I met while studying abroad in Ireland. I am also so excited to see my family, friends and pets again when I finally get home to Baltimore! Throughout my travels, I have found that while I love exploring new places and learning about new cultures, it is always the fun times with the new friends I make that I remember forever. One of my new Dutch friends will come to visit me in America this summer, and I am very excited to show him my hometown and to explain to him about American culture in more detail!
