Being a teacher in Indonesia, every day is filled with lots of students. I am also lucky enough to live in the dorms so even after I return home, I still get to be with my students. Now that I will return to the United States this week, the students will definitely be my hardest goodbye. Since the questions below are about kids, I asked some of my students and wrote down their responses.
"I eat rice for every meal. If I don't eat rice, I don't feel full. I also will eat chicken, fish, tofu, tempeh (traditional Southeast Asian soy product, originating from Indonesia) or maybe some vegetables."
"I live in the dorms at my school so right now, that is my house. I live with three other girls in one room. We have bunk beds, and I sleep on the bottom bunk."
"When I am home during a holiday, I always help my mom cook and clean. I'm not very good at cooking though so I just do what she tells me to do."
"My mom is a teacher, and my dad works at the coal mines."
