Bordeaux is the sixth largest city in France and is often referred to as Little Paris because of its busy big city feel, the architectural style, accessible transportation and all the restaurants and stores for shopping. Bordeaux reminds me of LA because it is always busy, and people are either always eating at restaurants or shopping around. However, people definitely rely more on public transportation here as opposed to in L.A. where everyone prefers to drive - hence the traffic. I really haven't seen any traffic here, now that I think about it.
The architecture here is nothing like L.A.'s modern builidings. By just taking a stroll in the city, I've come to admire the beautiful antique buildings that remind me I'm living in Europe. It's beautiful with all the natural colors and all the beautiful balconies! I'm so grateful my own room has a balcony, so I can step out and take a breather. I'll definitely miss having that when I go back home. Bordeaux is also known worldwide as a city and region that produces great wine, having over 20,000 wine producers. This reputation attracts lots of tourists to visit. California also has a well known wine country in Napa Valley.
