When I was in Jordan for my study abroad,I was given the opportunity to meet so many incredible people that I never would have been able to meet if I hadn't traveled to Jordan! By meeting all of these new people, I got to learn about different perspectives. Perspectives means the way that people see and understand the world and things around them. I got to see a lot of different ways!

Growing up in Boston, a very diverse city, I was always exposed to different perspectives and learned so much about different cultures from my classmates and friends. This was absolutely amazing. However, perspectives in a different country are very different from the ones that you might see in the United States. I found it very fun and rewarding to learn about the different ways that Jordanians view different topics, and I left Jordan a more cultured and understanding person because I was able to recognize these different perspectives.

When I first got to Jordan, I learned that in order for both men and women to be respectful in Jordanian culture, they have to dress in a modest manner. Modest dress means that a person covers most of their body with loose fitting clothing and does not show much skin.
