First, I want to start off by thanking you all for this amazing time! I enjoyed video chatting and getting to know all of you on our weekly video calls. I've loved sharing everything I am learning on this journey, especially all the new foods, different places to which I've traveled, and everything I am learning about new cultures and languages. It feels good to share the opportunities I have been given so others can learn from them, too.
When I first came to Spain, I was scared and I had no idea of what to expect from being in a foreign country away from my family. I had never known anyone who had traveled abroad or shared experiences with me. Before coming here, this journey seemed unreal. I never would have thought that I would have the opportunity to study abroad. Thanks to the Gilman scholarship for making my travel possible, and thanks to Citi and Reach The World for letting me share this great journey and being able to connect with others around the globe. I am happy to have shared my experience with you, and I hope that in the near future I can provide guidance to others who want to study abroad. Nothing is ever impossible as long as we try at least a little bit. Dreams do come true!
