Traveler Bio

Kaixo! Hello! My name is Tais, and I am 21 years old. I was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Zacatecas, Mexico. I grew up in a small town in Zacatecas, where I went to school until I was 12 years old. Growing up in Mexico made me realize how much I enjoyed learning about other cultures and languages worldwide. When I moved back to the United States, I learned more about different languages and cultures from all my friends, and I realized that I wanted to major in International Studies. I chose this major because after living in Mexico and the U.S, I realized how much I loved learning about each of them.

I am currently studying abroad in Bilbao, Spain- also known as The Basque Country- thanks to the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program. I am able to live here and share with you all my new adventures in Spain. I cannot wait to share more about what I learn in Bilbao and its Spanish culture!
