As the semester comes to a close, I've been thinking a lot about how fast it has gone and how much I've learned and experienced since I first got here in January. Just a few short months ago, I arrived in Singapore, tired, disoriented and honestly a little afraid of what was to come. After all, I was preparing to be the furthest I've ever been from home for the longest time I've ever been away from home! Contrary to how I felt, it was actually a pleasant surprise right from the start. I was very lucky to meet an amazing group of friends at school right off the bat, and we have gotten super close over the months and traveled together to see amazing places.

Speaking of traveling, I am happy to say that I have visited six countries so far this semester, with three more still to go! The places I have been up to this point include Singapore (of course), Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Taiwan, and I have upcoming trips to South Korea, Hong Kong and Japan. This may sound like a lot, but it has been surprisingly afforable to get around even on a student's budget. The people that I have met from these places, the things I've seen and the perspectives I've gained are things that I will keep with me for the rest of my life.
