I traveled to Bahrain through a Fulbright grant, which paid me to live and work in Bahrain. There are lots of similar grants to help fund travel, especially for high school and university students. One of these programs is the National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y), which you can apply for when you're 15. If you enjoyed learning about my adventures, these programs would allow you to have one of your own!
