Dia duit (Hello) from Limerick, Ireland! My name is Norah Wade, and I am from Des Moines, Iowa. My home college is Iowa State University, where I study statistics. My favorite part about statistics is getting to share stories from numbers. This semester I have the opportunity to study at the University of Limerick, or UL, in Ireland. I look forward to learning more about statistics here at UL, one of the best STEM schools in the country! I will also be taking several humanities courses while here, which will be a good chance to learn more about other cultures in a classroom setting.
When I am not working on math homework or writing reports for classes, I love reading, crafting, and traveling through new landscapes. I am excited to share pictures of the Irish countryside this semester, which is incredible! From the grand Cliffs of Moher, to the stone fences and ponies of Connemara, to the welcoming cities like Dublin and Cork, I can't wait to keep becoming more connected with Irish culture and communities. Come along with me as I dive into Limerick and Ireland! Slán! (Bye!)
