This week is my last week here in Berlin. As my time in Berlin comes to an end, I find myself reflecting on the past five months with a mix of gratitude and a little disbelief at how quickly it all passed. When I first arrived, everything felt new. The language, the neighborhoods, the rhythm of daily life. But slowly, I began to become more comfortable navigating the city. Through food, art, and the people I met, Berlin became not just a place I lived in, but a place that taught me.

I’ve gotten to experience art within the city, traveled within Germany and around Europe, and have met some of the most talented people. Out of all my experiences, my favorite part of my study abroad was the people and community I’ve gotten to build around me. They made my experience unforgettable, whether it was traveling together, struggling together, or simply cooking together. I feel like I am leaving Berlin with lifelong friends and memories. I am grateful and happy that I allowed myself to go out of my comfort zone and grow as a person, friend, and artist.

It was so great getting to know all of you. Hearing your questions and seeing your curiosity and excitement reminded me of why exploring new places is so meaningful. I hope I was able to inspire you to put yourself out there and make your own adventure.
