I did not travel too far this week because I am studying for finals. I stayed within the barrios (neighborhoods) of Recoleta, Belgrano and Palermo.
I have been fortunate to travel to other provinces in Argentina. I have been to Villa Carlos Paz, Córdoba and Córdoba capital. I have also been to San Carlos de Bariloche in the province of Río Negro.
This week I got around by bus, on foot, and using the subway. Unfortunately a friend and I got off at the wrong bus stop this week; we were pressed for time, so we took a cab to our destination. The total ended up being 600 pesos, or two U.S. dollars, which is not bad at all.
I was invited to a house in Belgrano to watch the World Cup game between the United States and Wales. It was strange to be around so many people from The United States and speak English, but I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the place. The game ended in a tie, but let's hope the U.S. can win its next matches between England and Iran.
