Meet Alina!

They have serious jobs, but they are very fun people.

What time does school start, and what time do you go home?:

For Alina, school starts at 8:05 a.m. and ends at 1:15 p.m. But one day a week, Alina stays a couple hours longer to practice playing piano for her school band.

How do you get to school? Are you allowed to go to school by yourself?:

Like many kids in the United States, Alina takes the school bus to and from school.

Where do you eat lunch? What is your favorite food?:

Alina's favorite food is Mexican tortillas with sour cream, spiced meat, corn and maybe cheese and lettuce. She likes this meal because her parents studied in Texas, where there is a lot of delicious Mexican food.

What language do you speak at school? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

German, naturally. Hallo!

Alina's school subjects include math, German, English, French, arts, sports, music, chemistry, physics, geography, history, religion and German politics. Her favorite subjects are German and arts. I even got to help her make a dress for the arts class!
