What jobs do your parents have?:

Mía’s dad works in marketing, and her mom works as a scientist at a biotechnology company. 

What time does school start, and what time do you go home?:

School starts for Mía at 7:00 a.m., so she has to get up early at 5:00 a.m. to get ready in time. School gets off early, though, at 1:00 p.m.

How do you get to school? Are you allowed to go to school by yourself?:

Mía’s parents drive her and her little brother to school. She could take the bus, but she would have to get up even earlier than 5:00 a.m. to be ready in time to get picked up.

Where do you eat lunch? What is your favorite food?:

Mía often eats lunch on the school’s patio outside, where they also play when they’re done eating. Her favorite food is a cupcake.

What language do you speak at school? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

Mía’s school is bilingual, so they take lessons in both English and Spanish. She likes to speak English, although sometimes it can be hard for her. You can say hello in a few different ways in Spanish. Two common ones are hola and buenas

What are some common kids' names at your school?:

At Mía’s school, there is a mix of names: a few of her friends are María, Andrés, Sofía, Emma and Ethan. 

What subjects do you study in school, and which one is your favorite?:

Mía takes classes like English, Spanish, math, science, art, and music.
