I traveled approximately 750 miles by plane to Madrid, but the plane ride was less than 2 hours! If anything, my train ride to Rome took longer, around 3 hours. The best part of Europe is the ease of travelling from place to place.
Madrid was the farthest I have gone so far. I tend to stay local in Italy, but it was so exciting to finally get on a plane!
I travelled by plane and a high-speed train. Also, a lot of walking!
The most interesting places I visited were the United Nations World Food Programme and Food and Agriculture Organization buildings. I was happy to speak to professionals who have dedicated their lives to travelling the world and helping communities in need. Their focus is on making sure places around the world have proper access to food, and I am happy organizations like this exist to take care of our fellow humans!
